Graham Potter will be back in Premier League action with his Chelsea side after successfully conquering AC Milan.
The Blues will return to domestic competition following a rapid fire Champions League clean-up job that involved impressive home and away displays against AC Milan in order to put the group stage in a better position for the Blues following a poor start to the campaign.
In-between the big European tests was a comfortable victory against Wolves at home, elevating Chelsea into the top four and calming some of the early season worries. Up next is a trip to Aston Villa.
Potter has never beaten Villa as a manager but will want to stop that run on Sunday in order to continue his five match unbeaten run with the goal of making it five wins on the bounce. Chelsea have also kept three clean sheets in a row too.
Potter is expecting to have a nearly full squad for the trip, though there N’Golo Kante and Reece James are not expected to feature due to injury. There are also slight concerns over Mason Mount. Here’s the expected group for Potter:
Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Edouard Mendy, Marcus Bettinelli. Defenders: Ben Chilwell, Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Silva, Marc Cucurella, Cesar Azpilicueta, Trevoh Chalobah.
Midfielders: Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Denis Zakaria, Mason Mount (doubt), Conor Gallagher, Carney Chukwuemeka.
Forwards: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Armando Broja, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Raheem Sterling.
